The ACaDeME Project
Under the American Credit and Debt Management Education (ACaDeME) Project,
the Institute for Financial Literacy partners with consumer credit counseling,
debt management and debt settlement agencies in North America. The
goal of the project is to advance the ability of adults to competently
perform the basic tasks of managing their personal finances. The
ACaDeME Project works to achieve this goal by providing effective financial
literacy education, program evaluation and ongoing research. The
ACaDeME Project adheres to the National Standards for Adult Financial Literacy
Education.
What the Institute Provides
- Financial literacy education materials (the
Personal Finance Series)
- Program evaluation
- Ongoing research into the effectiveness of financial
literacy education on personal finances through net worth analysis
- Cooperation
and support for funding initiatives for the ACaDeME Project
Partners Responsibilities
- Participation in ongoing research and program
evaluation
- While participation in the project does not require exclusive
use of the Personal Finance Series, this series
- must be used as part of
the ACaDeME Project for research purposes.
- Partners must adhere to the National
Standards for Adult Financial Literacy Education.
